Eligibility/Qualification
- Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field (obtained within the last seven years).
- Core Experience: Proven track record in electroanalysis and the development of electrochemical sensors or biosensors.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry, and pulse techniques and/or amperometry. Ability to conduct and interpret morphological, structural, surface, and electrochemical characterizations.
- Soft Skills: Experimental autonomy, consistent scientific production, and good scientific communication skills in English.
- Desirable attributes include experience with nanostructured materials, thin films, surface functionalization, interdigitated/printed electrodes, microneedle platforms, and ex vivo or biomimetic models.
Job Description The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for developing an electrochemical aptasensor integrated into microneedles. Specifically, the work involves using Cr/Au interdigitated electrodes for the impedimetric detection of interleukin-6 (IL-6). The role requires integrating morphological, structural, and electrochemical characterizations to ensure the successful development of this diagnostic technology.
How to Apply Interested candidates must submit their application in a single PDF file containing:
- Lattes curriculum or academic CV.
- A motivation letter (up to two pages) describing your experience related to this project.
- Proof of Ph.D. completion.
- The names, institutions, and contact emails of two researchers for reference.
Applications should be emailed directly to wendel.alves@ufabc.edu.br with the subject line exactly as: “Candidatura PD FAPESP – IL-6”. Selected candidates from the initial screening will be invited for an online interview.
