Postdoc Position: Batteries: The FunNanoMatLab Group at CiQUS (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a full-time position focused on the validation and testing of new electrolyte formulations for the development of a novel ZnBr battery concept.

Location: University of Santiago de Compostela CIQUS – Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials Jenaro de la Fuente s/n 15792 Santiago de Compostela Spain


  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related area.
  • Previous experience in the development of electrocatalyst materials.
  • Experience in electrochemistry (CV, EIS, LSV, etc.).
  • Background in electrocatalysis testing with an excellent scientific record.
  • International postdoctoral experience is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Creativity and team-working ability to work in a dynamic and international environment.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment is a must.

Job Description:

  • Validation and testing of new electrolyte formulations.
  • Development of a novel flow and non-flow ZnBr battery concept.
  • Immediate incorporation for a duration of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
