Postdoctoral Position in Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI-MSI) and Laser Ablation Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging (LAESI-MSI)
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI-MSI) and Laser Ablation Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging (LAESI-MSI); emphasis on soil microbiome interactions and plant cellular biology.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field
- Strong background in mass spectrometry and imaging techniques
- Experience in spatial omics research is preferred
- Demonstrated track record of independent research and scholarly productivity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Job Description:
- Develop and create unique methodologies utilizing advanced MALDI and LAESI mass spectrometry instruments
- Investigate complex processes related to soil microbiome interactions and plant cellular biology
- Advance spatial omics research through the utilization of EMSL’s high-resolution MSI instruments
- Participate in the development of the ever-expanding spatial omics suite at EMSL
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to cutting-edge research projects
