Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Conceive, plan, and implement scientific research related to thin films and electronic materials.
- Conduct research on the development of ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor thin films.
- Focus on in situ metrology and autonomous processing methods for accelerated discovery.
- Investigate chemical selectivity at material interfaces to address electronic defects.
- Report findings through publications and presentations while embodying Argonne’s core values: impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in atomic layer deposition (ALD) and semiconductor materials.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining and modifying vacuum deposition equipment.
- Knowledge of materials characterization techniques such as ellipsometry, quartz crystal microgravimetry, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
