Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD or MD-PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven track record of research productivity with first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals (or preprints).
- Strong programming experience in R, Python, and bash.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience in the analysis of large datasets and understanding of statistics.
- Required ability to analyze DNA-sequencing data; experience with RNA-sequencing or other -omics data is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
Job Description
The successful applicant will engage in the following responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and interpret computational experiments and analyses.
- Supervise and train students and staff members.
- Participate in group meetings, journal clubs, and CMCO seminars.
- Prepare manuscripts and contribute to grant proposals.
- Present work at internal and external scientific meetings.
- Participate in lab data organization and housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with local and international partners.
