Postdoctoral Associate in Tumor Models: Join Dr. Kannanganattu V. Prasanth’s laboratory at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and contribute to cutting-edge research in breast cancer progression, metastasis, and chemo-resistance. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or related fields to develop 3D tumor models and investigate the molecular mechanisms controlling variability during hypoxia.

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or related field.
  • Prior experience in experimental and computational approaches in RNA Biology, Epigenetics, or Cancer Biology.
  • Proficiency in analyzing high-throughput multi-omics datasets such as RNA-seq, single-cell seq., Cut & Run, HiC, etc.
    Job Description:
    As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will:
  • Develop breast cancer 3D-tumor models from cell lines and patients with minimum cellular heterogeneity.
  • Investigate the molecular mechanisms controlling variability during 3D breast cancer organoid growth, focusing on the role of hypoxia.
  • Study the role of phase-separated membrane-less nuclear domains, genome organization, and epigenetic modifications in regulating transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene regulation during hypoxia.
  • Analyze high-throughput multi-omics datasets and publish findings in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
