Eligibility/Qualification:
- Required: Ph.D. (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Agricultural & Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Nutrient Management, Water Quality, or related fields.
- Commitment to the mission of the Land-Grant system and UF core values.
- Preferred: Understanding of Lake Okeechobee ecosystems; experience with hydrologic modeling and geospatial assessment tools.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Associate will:
- Lead field-based assessments of nutrient sorption technologies.
- Monitor water quality and weather data.
- Conduct lab analyses and interpret data.
- Perform geostatistical assessments and cost evaluations of technologies for nutrient removal.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Be actively involved in a multi-year project funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in cooperation with the South Florida Water Management District.
