About- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is inviting applications for a project appointment on a contractual basis. The appointment will be renewable yearly or until the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates of Indian nationality are invited to appear for a walk-in test/interview for this project appointment under the “Pre-compliance and Clinical Validation of Implantable and Diagnostic Devices” project.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Project Scientist
Candidates should have:
- A PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 1st Class or equivalent academic qualification.
- Work experience in clinical settings involving clinical samples.
- Experience/knowledge in electrode designing, system miniaturization and sensor biofabrication is desirable.
- Experience in electrode designing will be preferred.
Project Assistant (Technical)
Candidates should have:
- A Graduate degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in biosensor fabrication and designing.
- Hands-on experience with GPCR and ELISA.
- Experience in microbiological studies.
Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for project positions under the research project “Development of a Well-Well Electrochemical Device (SEPSOR) for Sepsis Biomarker Detection in Clinical Settings”, a sub-project under the main WIN CoE Project #RP04808 at IIT Delhi.
The appointments will be on a contractual basis with a consolidated monthly remuneration. The positions are initially renewable yearly, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of project funds, and will continue until the completion of the project or the maximum project duration, whichever is earlier.

Project Scientist
The selected candidate will contribute to the development of a well-well electrochemical device (SEPSOR) for sepsis biomarker detection in clinical settings. Responsibilities are expected to include:
- Development and optimization of electrochemical biosensors.
- Designing and fabrication of electrodes.
- Handling and analysis of clinical samples.
- Development of miniaturized sensing systems.
- Sensor biofabrication and device integration.
- Supporting laboratory experiments and validation of the developed sensing platform.
- Contributing to research activities related to clinical diagnostics and sepsis biomarker detection.
Project Assistant (Technical)
The selected candidate will support laboratory and research activities related to biosensor development, including:
- Fabrication and designing of biosensors.
- Conducting laboratory experiments related to electrochemical sensing.
- Performing GPCR and ELISA-based studies.
- Supporting microbiological experiments.
- Assisting with sample preparation and experimental data collection.
- Supporting development and testing of the SEPSOR platform.
