Postdoctoral Fellow at NTNU: The Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience at NTNU is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a two-year full-time position. The fellow will work in the Neural Dynamics and Computation group, focusing on computational neuroscience. The group, led by Soledad Gonzalo Cogno, is involved in a collaborative project with the Moser lab, focusing on large-scale neural population recordings and ultraslow periodic sequences of neural activity. The successful candidate is expected to analyze neural data, develop computational models, and work on advanced research in this field.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed Norwegian doctoral degree or equivalent foreign doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related subjects.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong mathematical background and coding experience.
  • Prior experience in image segmentation and generative AI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with large-scale neuronal recordings.
  • Interest in computational neuroscience.
  • Strong personal initiative and teamwork skills.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow’s responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing large-scale neural population recordings.
  • Developing computational models for ultraslow periodic sequences of neural activity.
  • Collaborating with the Moser lab for data collection.
  • Combining analysis of high-dimensional data sets with computational modeling.
