Eligibility/Qualification
- Postdoctoral Candidates:
- Recent PhD in Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field.
- Strong background in quantitative research; prior experience in single-cell or cancer genomics is a plus.
- Graduate Candidates:
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Some prior experience in analyzing genomics data is preferred.
- MD Projects:
- Available for physicians with a keen interest in quantitative research.
Job Description
As a successful candidate, you will lead national and international projects involving AI and machine learning in cancer research. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing algorithms and models to explore cancer evolution and chromosomal instability.
- Focusing on AI methods for enhanced phylogenetic reconstructions and feature space embeddings from complex genomic datasets.
- Collaborating within a thriving interdisciplinary team of bioinformaticians and clinicians at the University Hospital of Cologne.
