Postdoctoral Fellow in Bile Duct Function and Inflammation using Organ-on-a-Chip System

Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Area: Bile Duct Function, Inflammation, Organ-on-a-Chip Technology
Location: Department of Transplantation Medicine, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in molecular biology, bioengineering, or immunology
  • Ability to design and interpret original experiments independently
  • Experience with advanced cell culture, including organoid culture techniques and organ-on-a-chip systems
  • Proficiency in molecular biology, preferably within immunology
  • Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language

Job Description:

  • Conduct innovative research on bile duct inflammation using organ-on-a-chip technology
  • Collaborate with the Norwegian Centre of Excellence Hybrid-technology-hub (HTH) and other research groups
  • Employ quantitative methods to uncover and modulate inflammatory processes in bile ducts
  • Work with human material relevant to clinical medicine
  • Develop and carry out independent research projects under the supervision of Professor Espen Melum
