Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants should possess a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in biological, chemical, or physical sciences. Previous postdoctoral or contracted researcher experience is advantageous. Applications are also welcomed from candidates nearing the completion of their PhD, with the designation of Senior Research Assistant until the PhD is awarded.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and apply chemical biology and structural proteomic methods, particularly hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry.
- Investigate the dynamic rearrangements of multidrug efflux pumps associated with antibiotic resistance.
- Collaborate with Dr. Eamonn Reading’s lab and engage with national and international academic and industrial researchers.
- Contribute to significant advancements in understanding how proteins influence cellular functions.
