Research Area
The role is situated within the I-MIDI research institute, focusing on basic research in immunology, innate immunity, microbiome research, and host-microbe interactions. The project specifically investigates neuro-epithelial regulation of tissue and immune homeostasis.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Completed university degree in a scientific field and a doctoral program (PhD or equivalent).
- Expertise in immunology, neuroscience, or epithelial cell biology is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to independently design/conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish results.
- Strong record of high-quality publications.
- Fluency in English (written and oral) and computer proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team.
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have a high degree of autonomy and be involved in the following:
- Conducting both independent and collaborative research projects.
- Utilizing techniques such as flow cytometry, molecular biology, and organoid systems.
- Preparing samples for single-cell technologies and performing subsequent data analysis.
- Developing, optimizing, and implementing laboratory protocols for cell isolation.
- Supervising doctoral students and contributing to the laboratory’s overall research strategy.
