Research Area

The role is situated within the I-MIDI research institute, focusing on basic research in immunology, innate immunity, microbiome research, and host-microbe interactions. The project specifically investigates neuro-epithelial regulation of tissue and immune homeostasis.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Completed university degree in a scientific field and a doctoral program (PhD or equivalent).
  • Expertise in immunology, neuroscience, or epithelial cell biology is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to independently design/conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish results.
  • Strong record of high-quality publications.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have a high degree of autonomy and be involved in the following:

  • Conducting both independent and collaborative research projects.
  • Utilizing techniques such as flow cytometry, molecular biology, and organoid systems.
  • Preparing samples for single-cell technologies and performing subsequent data analysis.
  • Developing, optimizing, and implementing laboratory protocols for cell isolation.
  • Supervising doctoral students and contributing to the laboratory’s overall research strategy.
