Eligibility/Qualification–
• Doctorate in Physics.
• Research experience in theoretical condensed matter or many-body physics; experience in the theory of superconductivity and computational methods would be an advantage.
• Have published papers in high-quality journals.
• Strong communication skills.
Job/Position Description- As a Postdoctoral Fellow within our Department, you will join Dr Philip Brydon to work on the project “Superconductors with intrinsic magnetism: Origin, evidence, and universal physics” which is funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand’s Marsden fund, and seeks to explore the physics of unconventional superconductors with Bogoliubov Fermi surfaces.
In this role you will work closely with Principal Investigator Brydon and the two AIs, Professor Daniel Agterberg (University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee) and Professor Carsten Timm (TU Dresden).
You will also assist with the development of graduate student skills and participate in MacDiarmid Institute group activities.
