Eligibility/Qualification:
- A doctoral degree (PhD) in Bioinformatics or Biology with strong experience in bioinformatics.
- The doctoral degree should be completed no more than six years before the application date.
- Proven experience in analysis methods relevant to bioinformatics and genomic studies.
- Good communication skills in English.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will be involved in:
- Analyzing plant transcriptomes and microbial genomes (assembly, annotation, comparative genomics).
- Setting up data pipelines and workflows for genetic analysis.
- Conducting phylogenetic studies to understand the evolution of root nodule symbioses, particularly in the context of Cucurbitales and comparisons with Fagales.
- Collaborating with a diverse team in a supportive international research environment focused on plant-microbe interactions.
