Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A doctoral degree (PhD) in Bioinformatics or Biology with strong experience in bioinformatics.
  • The doctoral degree should be completed no more than six years before the application date.
  • Proven experience in analysis methods relevant to bioinformatics and genomic studies.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Job Description:

The successful applicant will be involved in:

  • Analyzing plant transcriptomes and microbial genomes (assembly, annotation, comparative genomics).
  • Setting up data pipelines and workflows for genetic analysis.
  • Conducting phylogenetic studies to understand the evolution of root nodule symbioses, particularly in the context of Cucurbitales and comparisons with Fagales.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team in a supportive international research environment focused on plant-microbe interactions.
