Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Physics, Biophysics, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong experimental and hands-on background in quantitative science.
- Experience with data analysis and scientific programming.
- Preferred: Experience in single-molecule or fluorescence microscopy, microfluidics, nanotechnology, or soft matter systems.
- Familiarity with RNA biology or drug delivery systems is a plus.
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar, and experience with mammalian cell culture are desirable.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work under Dr. Sabrina Leslie to:
- High-resolution characterization of LNP formulations:
- Generate quantitative datasets of particle size distributions and mRNA payload heterogeneity using advanced CLiC-based methodologies.
- Development of post-formulation labeling strategies:
- Create novel assays for sensitive detection of LNP, mRNA, and other cargo, enabling more flexible workflows.
- Scale-up of measurements using microfluidics and AI-enhanced tools:
- Collaborate with engineers to increase the throughput of assays on a next-generation imaging platform.
