Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Physics, Biophysics, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong experimental and hands-on background in quantitative science.
  • Experience with data analysis and scientific programming.
  • Preferred: Experience in single-molecule or fluorescence microscopy, microfluidics, nanotechnology, or soft matter systems.
  • Familiarity with RNA biology or drug delivery systems is a plus.
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar, and experience with mammalian cell culture are desirable.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work under Dr. Sabrina Leslie to:

  1. High-resolution characterization of LNP formulations:
  • Generate quantitative datasets of particle size distributions and mRNA payload heterogeneity using advanced CLiC-based methodologies.
  1. Development of post-formulation labeling strategies:
  • Create novel assays for sensitive detection of LNP, mRNA, and other cargo, enabling more flexible workflows.
  1. Scale-up of measurements using microfluidics and AI-enhanced tools:
  • Collaborate with engineers to increase the throughput of assays on a next-generation imaging platform.
