Research Area:
The successful candidate will investigate cardiomyocyte mechanosensing and mechanical memory through integrin adhesions and the talin adhesome, utilizing bioengineered surfaces and quantitative microscopy techniques. Collaborations with project partners to establish a framework of mechanosensation and mechanical memory at different length scales will also be a key focus.

Eligibility/Qualification:
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, collaborative, and possess expertise in bioengineering, cell and/or cardiovascular biology. Prior experience in bio- and/or nanofabrication, as well as stem cell culture and differentiation, is highly desirable.
Job Description:
The postholder will be responsible for conducting research to investigate mechanical sensing and memory in cardiac muscle cells. This will involve culture of cardiomyocytes on bioengineered surfaces, analysis through quantitative microscopy techniques, and collaboration with project partners to establish a framework of mechanosensation and mechanical memory at different length scales. The postholder will also engage in regular coordination, exchange of data, and resources with the project teams.
