Postdoctoral Opportunity in Polymer Chemistry: Join our team at Unité de Catayse et Chimie du Solide (UCCS) and Unité Matériaux et Transformations (UMET), located in Villeneuve d’Asca, for a postdoctoral opportunity in Polymer Chemistry. We are conducting research on the development of polylactide-based copolymers, exploring the structure-property relationships of these innovative materials. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field
  • Strong background in polymer synthesis and characterization techniques
  • Experience with analyzing polymer microstructure using NMR and size exclusion chromatography
  • Proficiency in analyzing thermal properties of polymers through DSC
  • Familiarity with microstructure analysis techniques such as SAXS and WAXS
  • Knowledge of mechanical properties analysis
  • Excellent academic track record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Experience in publishing research findings and presenting at conferences

Job Description: As a postdoctoral researcher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting air-sensitive catalyzed polymerization reactions in a glovebox
  • Analyzing the microstructure of polymers using NMR and size exclusion chromatography
  • Investigating the thermal properties of the polymers through DSC
  • Examining the microstructure using SAXS and WAXS techniques
  • Evaluating the mechanical properties of the materials
  • Collaborating with the research team and contributing to the project’s progress
  • Participating in the preparation of scientific publications and presenting your work at conferences
