Eligibility / Qualification

  • Education: PhD in life sciences (e.g., Biology, Medical Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry, or a related subject).
  • Core Experience: Strong background in Cancer Metabolism and/or Cancer Metastasis Research. Solid knowledge of standard molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology techniques.
  • Certifications (Prerequisite): Licensed training to perform animal experiments (e.g., FELASA-B).
  • Analytical Skills (Prerequisite): Basic bioinformatics skills and solid biostatistics.
  • Advantageous Skills: Experience with sample preparation and data analysis of metabolomics and lipidomics.
  • Soft Skills: Curious, enthusiastic, able to work independently and in a team, with effective communication skills for collaborating with clinicians and scientists.
  • Language: Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are required.

Job Description

Your tasks will include:

  • Performing standard Molecular Biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, cloning, bacterial transformation, Immunohistochemistry, etc.).
  • Conducting cell culture experiments (experience with 3D culture systems is an advantage).
  • Processing human and murine tumor tissue samples (e.g., tumor tissue, plasma).
  • Carrying out animal experiments and handling models of metastasis.
  • Leading an independent research project within a collaborative team setting.
  • Supervising students.
  • Presenting and communicating research results at national and international scientific meetings.
  • Documenting experiments and results according to GLP standards.
