Eligibility / Qualification
- Education: PhD in life sciences (e.g., Biology, Medical Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry, or a related subject).
- Core Experience: Strong background in Cancer Metabolism and/or Cancer Metastasis Research. Solid knowledge of standard molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology techniques.
- Certifications (Prerequisite): Licensed training to perform animal experiments (e.g., FELASA-B).
- Analytical Skills (Prerequisite): Basic bioinformatics skills and solid biostatistics.
- Advantageous Skills: Experience with sample preparation and data analysis of metabolomics and lipidomics.
- Soft Skills: Curious, enthusiastic, able to work independently and in a team, with effective communication skills for collaborating with clinicians and scientists.
- Language: Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are required.
Job Description
Your tasks will include:
- Performing standard Molecular Biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, cloning, bacterial transformation, Immunohistochemistry, etc.).
- Conducting cell culture experiments (experience with 3D culture systems is an advantage).
- Processing human and murine tumor tissue samples (e.g., tumor tissue, plasma).
- Carrying out animal experiments and handling models of metastasis.
- Leading an independent research project within a collaborative team setting.
- Supervising students.
- Presenting and communicating research results at national and international scientific meetings.
- Documenting experiments and results according to GLP standards.
