Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Proven track record in plant enzyme characterization.
- Strong background in cloning and molecular biology.
- Experience with GC-MS is advantageous.
- Previous substantial experience with Physcomitrium patens or Nicotiana benthamiana as model systems is preferred.
- Experience in supervising Master and Bachelor students.
- International research experience and conference presentations are assets.
Job Description
- Perform enzyme biochemical characterization with a focus on sesquiterpenoid biosynthesis from bryophytes.
- Conduct molecular biology and biochemical assays within the BryoMolecules project.
- Supervise Master and Bachelor students affiliated with the project.
- Participate in the day-to-day maintenance of the laboratory.
- Promote research through public outreach, scientific papers, and participation in creating a promotional video.
- Collaborate closely with academic and industrial partners in the BryoMolecules project.
