The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen, Germany is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Position (m/f/d) in Biological Physics for the independent research group Theory of Biological Fluids headed by Dr. David Zwicker. The postdoctoral researcher will work on the role of viscoelasticity in the dynamics of droplets inside cells as part of a recently acquired ERC grant.

Eligibility/Qualification: The postdoctoral researcher should have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, or a related field as well as an interest in biological and soft matter physics. Expertise in studying pattern formation, elasticity theory, statistical physics, or biological physics is a plus. Programming skills are highly desirable. Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.

Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will work on the role of viscoelasticity in the dynamics of droplets inside cells as part of a recently acquired ERC grant. They will also support successful candidates in shaping their own research direction. The researcher should show eagerness to learn new skills and apply established ones.
