About the Lab and Institute

Job Description & Responsibilities

As a Postdoctoral Researcher in the lab, you will carry out experimental and computational analyses required for project completion. Core responsibilities include:

  • Performing and optimizing Hi-C and Micro-C genomic analyses.
  • Adapting multi-way contact genomic computational tools for Drosophila.
  • Developing and implementing visualization frameworks for Pore-C sequencing data.
  • Carrying out quantitative image analysis.
  • Conducting scientific programming and pipeline development in R and/or Python.
  • Collaborating actively within an international research team and presenting findings at scientific conferences.

Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • An academic degree in life sciences and a PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Biophysics, or a related field.
  • A solid track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in:
    • Programming in R or Python
    • High-throughput genomic contact mapping (Hi-C and Micro-C analysis)
    • Microscopy image analysis
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with an enthusiasm for collaborative science.
