Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Postdoctoral Researcher in the lab, you will carry out experimental and computational analyses required for project completion. Core responsibilities include:
- Performing and optimizing Hi-C and Micro-C genomic analyses.
- Adapting multi-way contact genomic computational tools for Drosophila.
- Developing and implementing visualization frameworks for Pore-C sequencing data.
- Carrying out quantitative image analysis.
- Conducting scientific programming and pipeline development in R and/or Python.
- Collaborating actively within an international research team and presenting findings at scientific conferences.
Eligibility & Qualification Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- An academic degree in life sciences and a PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Biophysics, or a related field.
- A solid track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in:
- Programming in R or Python
- High-throughput genomic contact mapping (Hi-C and Micro-C analysis)
- Microscopy image analysis
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with an enthusiasm for collaborative science.
