Eligibility / Qualification

  • PhD in computer engineering, electrical engineering, communication engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Documented experience with deep learning techniques (e.g., CNNs, Transformers).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
  • Experience in working with time-series data.
  • Good understanding of Internet of Things and wireless communication networks.
  • Strong publication record relative to career stage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with explainable AI methods.
  • Experience in collaborative, cross-cultural research environments.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research related to semantic representation and reasoning on time-series data.
  • Designing and implementing Edge AI for real-time analytics and decision-making.
  • Developing energy-efficient, low-latency communication strategies.
  • Publishing high-impact research and contributing to outreach and dissemination activities.
  • Participating in seminars of the NUEI project funded by NordForsk and co-supervising bachelor’s and master’s thesis projects.
