Eligibility/Qualification:

  • MD or PhD with experience in bioinformatics, statistics, or molecular epidemiology.
  • Experience with the analysis of sequence data, large biological datasets using R, Python, bash, or equivalent.
  • Experience in statistical genetics or incorporating various biological data types is a plus.

Job Description: The successful applicant will be involved in cutting-edge population genetic and molecular epidemiology studies of complex traits and diseases using large-scale population biobanks such as the Million Veteran Program, the UK Biobank, and the All of Us. Responsibilities include leading end-to-end studies, implementing analysis plans, pipelining, assessing methods, and reporting or publishing results. The role involves working with various data types generated by different platforms and technologies (e.g., whole-genome sequence, GW genotyped/imputed SNPs, RNA-seq, proteomics). Opportunities for methods development, technical writing for grant applications and manuscripts, conference travel, meeting presentations, and further training are provided.
