Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Metabolism, Mitochondrial Biology, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in mitochondrial biology and/or metabolism, with experience in analyzing metabolomics data.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics, programming (e.g., Python, R), and applying machine learning techniques for biological and behavioral data integration.
  • Experience with genomic or transcriptomic datasets (e.g., GWAS, UK Biobank) is desirable.
  • Excellent publication record and strong collaborative skills.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Analyze and interpret metabolic and mitochondrial data (including blood metabolomics and MRS-based brain metabolites) in relation to behavioral responses involving stress, anxiety, and motivation.
  • Employ bioinformatic, statistical, and machine learning approaches to synthesize diverse datasets encompassing metabolic, hormonal, physiological, and behavioral information.
  • Investigate the relationships between gene expression, metabolic markers, and behavioral traits using public genetic repositories.
  • Participate in the design, execution, and analysis of human studies.
  • Prepare high-quality manuscripts and present research outcomes at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to foster a supportive lab environment.
