Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biomaterials, or an equivalent field with experience in cell culture and tissue engineering techniques.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and ensure laboratory safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to write and maintain research plans and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated publication record.

Job Description:

  • Conduct and manage a research project focused on understanding how cells regulate hierarchical collagen fiber formation for functional tendon and ligament regeneration.
  • Utilize a novel culture system to investigate how ligament fibroblasts sense and respond to mechanical cues during fiber formation.
  • Oversee graduate and undergraduate students and collaborate with different research groups.
  • Engage in scientific writing and contribute to the publication of research findings.
