Postdoctoral Position in Project ANTENNA: Join a dynamic research environment at the Estación Biológica de Doñana (EBD-CSIC), Seville, as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Biodiversa+ project: “MAkiNg Technology work for moNitoring polliNAtors” (ANTENNA). The 2-year position involves integrating data streams, developing statistical tools, and creating near real-time forecasting models for pollinator monitoring. This is an opportunity to contribute to open, reproducible science in collaboration with ecologists, engineers, and data scientists.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Strong modeling or programming background (or interest in developing such skills)
  • Drive to advance open, reproducible science
  • Statistical and programming skills (R, GitHub actions, GLMMs, data manipulation, advanced methods)
  • Good writing skills
  • Knowledge of pollination ecology is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Description:

  • Integrate data sources and develop metrics and statistical tools for pollinator monitoring
  • Implement tools in open platforms (e.g., R packages, open databases, dynamic modeling frameworks)
  • Lead research predicting pollinators’ status and trends and publish findings
  • Contribute to an agile and collaborative research environment
