Eligibility/Qualification

  • Applicants must hold a PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, or a closely related field by the start date of the contract (approximately in October 2026).
  • Strong track record in research and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Job Description

The successful candidate will contribute to the ICCUB-Maria de Maeztu Challenge, focusing on:

  • Harnessing quantum entanglement and superposition for advancements in science and technology.
  • Key aspects include quantum communication, computation, hardware, sensing, and imaging.
  • Development of quantum hardware, entangled-source qubits, quantum memories, networks, and sensors.
  • Participation in the newly established quantum communications laboratory, undertaking both basic science contributions and algorithm development for many-body quantum systems.
