Job Description

The selected candidate will join the Vu Lab to investigate how early-life immune programs influence susceptibility to severe or chronic respiratory diseases. The research explores whether disease susceptibility originates before conception, during pregnancy, in infancy, or after infection.

Key research focus areas include:

  • ILC2 biology and type 2-skewed airway inflammation
  • Early-life immune programming and long-term lung disease risk
  • Epigenetic and cellular mechanisms following infant RSV and influenza infections
  • Mitochondrial and metabolic programming across developmental stages
  • Use of advanced techniques such as high-dimensional flow cytometry, molecular immunology, and neonatal mouse models
