Postdoctoral Position in Spectroscopy: ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position for a motivated and dynamic scientist interested in applying near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) in critical care. The successful candidate will join the Medical Optics research group led by Prof. Turgut Durduran and work on clinical studies in collaboration with Parc Tauli Hospital (PI: Jaume Mesquida). This research will continue work on the HEMOCOVID-19, VASCOVID, and REHAB COVID projects.

Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields. Applicants with backgrounds in clinical sciences will also be considered. Required qualifications include:
- Experience in diffuse optics.
- Experience with NIRS and/or DCS.
- Participation in in vivo studies.
- Biostatistics and clinical data analysis is a plus.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Lead data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation related to critical care studies.
- Design new experimental protocols and optical probes.
- Collaborate closely with clinical partners to conduct clinical trials.
- Continue work on established research projects such as HEMOCOVID-19, VASCOVID, and REHAB COVID.
- Contribute to publishing research results and securing future funding.
