About- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has invited applications from Indian nationals for contractual project-based appointments under a Ministry of Defence sponsored research project. The institute is recruiting for two Research Associate positions in the field of semiconductor and nanoelectronic device research. The appointments are purely contractual with consolidated monthly fellowship and HRA benefits.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• Research experience in Clean Energy-related areas.

  • Density Functional Theory (DFT)
  • Transition State Calculations
  • Micro-Kinetic Modeling
  • High-Performance Computing (HPC)
  • VASP Software

Essential Requirement

• Candidates must have been awarded the Ph.D. degree at the time of application.

Job Description:

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Research Associate-I under a collaborative research project between IIT Delhi and M/s Thermax Pvt. Ltd. The appointment will be purely contractual with a consolidated salary and will be renewable annually or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and relevant research expertise in clean energy or computational catalysis are encouraged to apply.

Designation: Research Associate-I (RA-I)

The selected candidates will work on an industry-academia collaborative research project between IIT Delhi and M/s Thermax Pvt. Ltd. Responsibilities may include:

• Conducting advanced research in clean energy technologies.
• Performing computational modeling and simulation studies.
• Developing and validating kinetic and catalytic reaction models.
• Utilizing DFT and HPC tools for process and catalyst analysis.
• Preparing technical reports, publications, and project deliverables.
• Collaborating with project investigators and industrial partners.
