Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD in molecular cell biology, infection biology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in tissue culture and molecular biology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Quick learner with the capacity to apply new techniques independently.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will conduct research on host-pathogen interactions during Toxoplasma gondii infection. Responsibilities include:

  • Applying CRISPR screening and next-generation sequencing analysis.
  • Conducting parasite growth and imaging assays.
  • Collaborating with team members within the vibrant Institute for Immunology and Infection Research at the University of Edinburgh.
