Eligibility/Qualification:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Detailed knowledge of large-scale molecular dynamics simulations.
- Strong understanding of materials science, polymers, coatings, and alloys.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with molecular dynamics, reactive flow, and multiphysics computational tools.
- Proficiency in machine learning tools such as PyTorch/Keras.
- Strong background in validation of simulation results and uncertainty quantification.
Job Description:
- Develop multiscale connections of chemistry, mechanical, thermal, and interfacial processes.
- Conduct molecular dynamics and atomistic simulations in petascale and GPU environments.
- Automate workflows using Python and bash scripting.
- Assist in planning and evaluating research projects, including task assignment and monitoring.
- Present research findings through reports, presentations, and publications.
- Mentor graduate students as needed.
