Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD (awarded or imminent) in Neuroscience, Molecular Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in using rodent primary cultures (neurons and/or astrocytes).
- Exceptional knowledge of neuronal/glial biology.
- Experience in cell biology and/or molecular biology techniques.
- Evidence of high-quality research and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage research projects and a commitment to collaboration.
Job Description
This position is full-time and fixed-term for 18 months, starting from September 1, 2025, until February 28, 2027. The aim is to understand the role of the astrocytic endosomal system in neuronal health and neurodegenerative pathology through quantitative proteomics, molecular cell biology, and protein biochemistry using rat primary cultures. The selected candidate will join a dynamic and supportive research environment at the Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology (ISMIB), which is known for its advanced facilities and commitment to multi-omic research.
