Summary: The University of Notre Dame’s Biophysics Instrumentation Core (BIC) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join their team. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Practical and technical knowledge of instrumentation and techniques for flow cytometry and other biophysical approaches.
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry data processing and instrument maintenance.
  • Proven ability to work independently within a research lab.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing quantitative biophysical methods and computational data analysis.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with faculty, staff scientists, graduate students, and external partners on multidisciplinary research projects.
  • Develop and apply robust methods for flow cytometry and other quantitative approaches.
  • Utilize computational tools to analyze data from flow cytometers and cell sorters.
  • Assist in the maintenance of cytometers and other biophysical instruments.
  • Contribute to grant proposals to procure new instruments and enhance the operational effectiveness of the BIC.
