Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD with a strong quantitative component in population genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, or computer science.
  • Experience working with large genotyping or sequencing datasets.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to ensure robust scientific analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical packages (e.g., R, MATLAB, Python).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in managing research projects.

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will lead the analysis of host-response genomics in large patient cohorts, particularly focusing on data from recent and ongoing Covid-19 studies. Responsibilities include performing genome-wide and transcriptome-wide association studies to enhance understanding of disease susceptibility and treatment responses in critically ill patients. The role offers a dynamic, data-rich environment and the chance to work alongside an experienced and collaborative team in medical genetics.
