About- Atal Bihari Vajpayee- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior, an Institute of national importance, established by an act of Parliament under the Ministry of Education, the Government of India invites applications from well-qualified and strongly motivated candidates of Indian nationality for the following faculty positions in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Management Studies (MS) and Applied Sciences (AS) at the following levels.

Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD in Mathematical Science and allied subjects (with strong background in mathematical/computational modeling) with good publication record in SCI/SCIE journals. Candidates having expertise in dynamical systems, data science and machine learning will be preferred.

ABV-IIITM Gwalior invites applications from highly motivated, sincere, hardworking and research-oriented candidates for the position of a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) to work under the project “Modelling extreme weather events in fishery dynamics” funded by International Growth Centre, LSE, United Kingdom

| Position: | Postdoctoral Research Fellow(One Post) |
| Project details: | India’s fisheries, though increasingly productive, face mounting threats from cyclones and marine heatwaves that disrupt catches and livelihoods, especially for small-boat fishers and women processors. This project aims to build the country’s first dynamic, data-driven model to forecast fishery outcomes under extreme weather, informing adaptive policy through bio-economic simulations calibrated to two decades of landings and revenue data. |
| Remuneration: | Rs. 60,000/Month (a fixed consolidated). No HRA or additional allowances are applicable. |
| Duration: | 1 year (Initially for 6 months extendable up to maximum of 1 year or until the completion/termination of the project, whichever comes earlier). |
| Additional information: | Only shortlisted candidates will be called for online interviews. Selected candidates will be intimated by email. The rules and guidelines of the sponsoring agency as well as ABV-IIITM governing Postdoctoral Fellows will be applicable to the Postdoctoral Research Fellow. A one-month notice period is required from either side for termination of the engagement. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post advertised. The position involves travel for data collection. Candidates should be willing to travel; all research-related travel expenses will be covered. |
