The Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies (C2N) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Mat2D team. This position focuses on the investigation of the electronic properties of van der Waals heterostructures, with a particular emphasis on interface interactions, charge transfer, and electronic hybridization.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Background: Strong academic and research background in condensed matter physics, two-dimensional (2D) materials, van der Waals materials, or materials science.
- Skills: Expertise or strong interest in experimental research, data analysis, and the physical interpretation of results. Proficiency in micro- and nanofabrication techniques and assembly of 2D materials is required.
Job Description
The successful candidate will design and perform optical and electronic characterization of 2D materials and their heterostructures. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing optical spectroscopy techniques (e.g., photoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy, temperature-dependent PL).
- Analyzing experimental data to investigate quantum confinement, charge transfer, and interfacial interactions.
- Supervising Ph.D. candidates, Master’s students, and interns.
- Collaborating with project partners to correlate experimental findings with theoretical models.
- Disseminating research through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
