Eligibility/Qualification
Education and Experience:
- A. Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field (minimum 30 semester hours in biological sciences, including 9 hours in ecology).
- OR B. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in biological sciences, statistics, or mathematics.
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree required.
Specialized Experience
- Advanced spatial analysis and remote sensing.
- Connectivity modeling expertise.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, R) and experience with large spatial datasets.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
- Develop advanced modeling frameworks for landscape connectivity using environmental and biodiversity data.
- Create open-source tools for planning and policy applications.
- Foster collaboration across institutions for research relevant to conservation.
- Advise and train students and staff in research techniques and methodologies.
- Contribute to grant proposal preparation and publication reviews.
