Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in energy technology, chemical engineering, process engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong motivation to complete doctoral studies within the normative duration.
- Interest in experimental research and process modelling.
- Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluidised bed reactors, high-temperature processes, and reaction engineering is an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; Finnish skills are a plus.
Job Description
| Responsibilities |

| Conduct experimental and modelling research on hydrogen storage and transport. |
| Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory and pilot-scale experiments related to cyclic oxidation and reduction of metals for hydrogen production and storage. |
| Optimize system performance and integrate experimental work with modelling and simulation. |
| Develop dynamic process models using APROS for system analysis. |
| Study potential reuse of decommissioned circulating fluidised bed (CFB) boilers for redox-based hydrogen applications. |
| Document research results and contribute to scientific publications. |
| Participate in national and international research projects. |
| Some travel may be required. |
