Eligibility/Qualification:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in molecular genetics, molecular evolution, phylogenetics, evolutionary genomics, bioinformatics, microbiology, metabolic engineering, and/or synthetic biology. Experience in machine learning, yeast genetics, multi-omics, or metabolic engineering is particularly desirable.
Job Description:
- Develop and lead an independent research project within the Hittinger Lab
- Utilize the Y1000+ Project dataset to explore evolution, ecology, and bioenergy applications
- Contribute to metabolic engineering and multiomic projects for advanced biofuels and bioproducts
- Collaborate with a dynamic research team and contribute to the diverse research environment
