Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in synthetic organic chemistry or chemical biology
- Broad expertise in organic and synthetic chemistry; practical experience in photochemistry is a plus
- Strong scientific rigor and motivation for interdisciplinary projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Job Description:
The successful candidate will design and synthesize lipid analogs with crosslinkable, photoswitchable, and/or photo-labile protective groups. These tools will be utilized to investigate tumor suppressor lipids, map protein-lipid interactions, and visualize lipid trafficking in damaged organelles and wounded cells. Collaboration within the SFB consortium will be essential to achieve project goals.
