- Experience in forest ecology and biogeochemistry is a plus
Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for characterizing deep soil fungal communities using long-read sequencing and shotgun metagenomics. This will involve analyzing environmental metadata such as soil chemistry, N deposition, and tree physiology to gain insights into how soil fungi impact tree health. The position includes collaborative work in an international setting, periodic work abroad in Sweden, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities.
