Eligibility-

Essential Qualification/Experience as per the norms

PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical or any other relevant department from recognized university/institute, with experience in CFD of reacting flows. Candidate who have submitted their thesis may also apply.    Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from the undergraduate level onwards, and at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in both Class 10 and 12.

Desirable Qualification/Experience

Strong CFD background and experience with OpenFOAM and Ansy Fluent
Experience with large eddy simulation (LES) is preferred
Experience in modeling reacting flows and combustion, good understanding of chemical kinetics.
Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and basic machinelearning model development
Expertise in at least one programming language and proficiency in Python
Good communication skills

Job/Position Description- 

As a postdoctoral researcher in the CCML Lab, you will lead the development  of PCA-based reduced-order models integrated within LES frameworks to  model extreme events in hydrogen-enriched combustion, such as flashback  and hydrodynamic instabilities. You will develop and validate these  frameworks, testing them on both academic benchmark cases and industry-relevan combustors, and disseminate your results through journal articles and international conference presentations. Additionally, you will co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students and assist in preparing competitive funding proposals. Success in this fast-changing, growth-focused environment requires a strong willingness to learn, the ability to adapt and the confidence to work independently while also collaborating with the principal investigator and the research team.
