Postdoctoral Researcher in Cancer Biology:
The Janowitz Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and interactive Postdoctoral Researcher to join our cutting-edge research team. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Education: Applicants should be in the process of completing or have recently completed a PhD in cancer biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, or a related field.
  • Experience/Skills:
  • Strong experimental and analytical skills with a proven ability to test scientific hypotheses.
  • A robust publication record with peer-reviewed first-author papers.
  • Expertise in metabolism, physiology, biochemistry, neuroscience, endocrinology, and/or immunology.
  • Experience with animal models of disease.
  • Proficiency in computational analyses of large datasets.

Job Description:
The selected Postdoctoral Researcher will engage in high-impact research to uncover the molecular mechanisms driving the whole-body response to cancer. The focus will be on integrating body reprogramming and anti-cancer medications, as well as exploring the interaction between tumors and host organ systems. The candidate will have the freedom to develop independent research questions within the lab’s broad research themes. This position provides ample opportunities for professional growth, including learning advanced microscopy, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and the communication of science. The researcher will work in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment, with access to CSHL’s world-class laboratory space and core facilities.
