Eligibility/Qualification
- A thesis-based doctorate in chemical engineering (obtained no more than 6 years ago)
- Strong experimental and analytical skills
- Experience with experimental work
- Proficiency in two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC × GC) coupled with diverse detectors
- Expertise in chemical recycling including pyrolysis, steam cracking, and mass balance allocation
- Experience with process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, COILSIM1D)
- Proven project management experience and successful acquisition of research funding
- Excellent organizational skills and experience in coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience supervising PhD and master’s students
- Excellent command of English (oral and written)
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will:
- Conduct research in chemical recycling of plastic waste.
- Provide guidance to PhD and master’s students.
- Engage in project management with multiple stakeholders.
- Draft scientific project proposals and initiate bilateral projects with leading companies.
- Address the impact of plastic waste on pyrolysis processes and upgrading of pyrolysis oils to high-quality petrochemical feedstocks.
