Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related field (must have or expect to have by the time of appointment).
  • Desirable expertise in density functional theory, molecular dynamics, AI model development, free energy predictions, and/or enhanced sampling methods applied to solid-state materials.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Leverage and augment machine learning interatomic potentials.
  • Address the complexities in real materials often overlooked by traditional simulations.
  • Work in-person at Princeton University, collaborating closely with a dynamic research team.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship of an H-1B visa requiring consular processing; other visa sponsorships may be available as appropriate. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding.
