Research Area
Bioinformatic analyses of genomic data obtained from archaeological finds of domesticated animals, particularly poultry and horses.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in biology or a relevant field (obtained within the last 10 years).
- Prior experience in bioinformatic analyses of genomic data.
- Knowledge of population genomics.
- Strong writing skills evidenced by high-quality publications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
Job Description
You will engage with an enthusiastic multidisciplinary research group that applies historical, archaeological, and genetic methods to explore the early history of poultry and horses in Northeastern Europe. Responsibilities include producing and analyzing genomic data from archaeological finds around the Baltic Sea.
