Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential:
- PhD in Biology or a related discipline (completed before start date)
Preferred Experience:
- PhD thesis focused on seed ecology and/or evolution
- Authorship in relevant publications and involvement in seed ecology/evolution projects
- Proficiency in R programming and statistical data analysis
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Lead and coordinate the expansion of the SeedArc global seed germination database, particularly into underrepresented global regions
- Conduct research on the comparative ecology and evolution of the seed germination niche
- Collaborate closely with lab members and contribute to the lab’s active projects in plant ecology and biodiversity
- Be mentored and supervised by Dr. Eduardo Fernández Pascual and Dr. Borja Jiménez-Alfaro
