Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Catalysts: The Prins group at the University of Padova is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a 1-year position (renewable) to work on developing new molecular receptors and catalysts operating under non-equilibrium conditions. Location: Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Padova, Via Marzolo 1, 1-35131 Padova, Italy

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree (to be completed before December 2024)
  • Experience in organic synthesis and supramolecular chemistry
  • Proficiency in techniques such as NMR, UV-vis, fluorescence, thermodynamic and kinetic data fitting
  • Preferred: Experience with electrochemistry

Job Description:
The selected candidate will join the research group led by Prof. Leonard Prins, focusing on the development of a new class of molecular receptors and catalysts that function under non-equilibrium conditions. The aim of the research is to demonstrate that non-equilibrium operation leads to enhanced properties and enables innovative screening methodologies. The role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the advancement of this cutting-edge research area.
